Experimentation for credits and titles

One of our ideas for the film was to have our names dissolve / fade from one to another during the credits. This symbolises our creative process and how one idea forms into another.

To create this effect I used adobe After Effects and made a sand effect. I used sand as I felt the word represented the person and the sand particles represented what made their who they are. Things about them, the human body, their personalities, ideas etc; and when the particles transform they create someone new. I also used colour within the sand effect to symbolise this too. 

After presenting it to the group we decided it wouldnt be ideal to create everyones name in this style as it would take up too much time. It was also suggested that it looks too modern and needs to link to the concept. 

I then went on to using this effect to create a title as it would take up less time and still relate to the concept. I changed the background to an image of a cave wall to match the theme of plato's cave and the cave drawings in the beginning scene. I took out the colours in the sand to make it more obvious and changed the wording to "Who Own's What?" until we decide on a better title.
