SCENE ONE

INT. Gloomy Room


Forward dolly track. Medium shot of a man sitting at his desk with his back at the camera, we stabilize the shot on his head. We then continue to move forward to reveal what is on the desk. There is a note book in front of him where he’s been handwriting. The pages have some changes and corrections  and on the top of the left page we see written: “Chapter 16, searching for the muse”. On the right side of his notebook, from the written lines, on another paper sheet, he has been drawing diagonal lines like strings that unite in a single point from which he continued drawing a single line. From and with this line he created some small animals and men that are hunting these animals. The drawing will remind of the prehistoric parietal art(cave paintings). The writer continues to draw his line.

SCENE TWO

INT. Apartment, Day Time

Medium long shot.  A girl is painting on a large paper sheet placed on a tripod.
Long shot of two men on a corridor sitting in front of a door. One man is holding some papers in his hand.
Forward dolly track over the papers, where we can notice the writing “Eviction Order”. The camera passes through the front door and sees a man getting up from his chair and approaching the door. He opens it letting a large amount of wind current to invade the room. The camera as if would follow the wind moves to the window where we see the girl painting . The wind blows some sheets of white paper that are aside her tripod and of one them flies away through the window. She is tries to catch the sheet but by doing so pushes a tube of colour out of the window.
Close-up of the small tube hitting the pavement. A woman’s hand enters the frame and takes the tube away holding it between her thumb and her index.
Medium shot. A person framed between the neck and waste is walking away. As it walks we realise it is a woman and she carries a blue suitcase in her right hand.

SCENE THREE

INT. Writer’s Flat

Medium long shot/ Panning. The writer stands from his chair and walks to his right where he reaches the bathroom, opens the door and enters.


SCENE FOUR

EXT. Daytime

Panning. Medium shot of a profile of the woman we saw in the early scene. She is framed from her neck to her knees. She handles the blue suitcase. She passes near the writing ‘Recording Studio’ where the camera stops.


SCENE FIVE

INT. STUDIO

Full still shot of a young man that is writing the lyrics of a song. He has headphones on and his head is moving on the beat of the music. He stops for a second and rips off a couple  of pages from his notebook and throws them  in the bin.
Deatail still shot of a phone ringing.
Medium still shot of the boy answering and saying:” Ok, I’m coming. I’ll be there in 10 minutes.” The boy stands and leaves the frame.
Full still shot of the bin. A famale hand  goes inside the bin.
Full shot of a blue suitcase opened in a way that covers the woman’s face. In the wright side of the frame we see how her hand takes the pages that the boy threw away and puts them inside the suitcase.


SCENE SIX

INT. Writer’s Flat

Medium still shot of the writer in the bathroom. He reaches for the tub water knobs and opens the water.


SCENE SEVEN

EXT. Circular Seating Area, Day, Rounded Seating Place in Wesminster University (Harrow)

Fade in to a flash of light and shutter from a camera, a medium shot is used to show photographer A taking a photo.

The camera pulls back to reveal the circular seating areas.

A medium back shot of photographer A, he watches photographer B taking a similar photo,, the camera tracks photographer A’s movement towards photographer B.

Photographer A begins to argue with Photographer B, the camera moves at a circular manner.

Long shot of the woman with the blue suitcase that runs in the foreground while in the background the photographers are still seen arguing.
Full profile shot of both photographers facing one another, they look at the direction in which the man with the leather bag had ran.

INT. Writer’s Flat

Panning. Full shot of the bath tub which is almost full. The water is running and the steam is rising. We hear the sound of a lighter being pressed and how the smoke of a cigarette is being inhaled and exhaled. The smoke unites with the steam. Fade to:


SCENE NINE

EXT.DAY
Still long shot.  A film crew is about to shot a scene. We see people running and here: “Ok people let’s get ready! Silence!

Still medium Long shot. Focus on the background with the director seat in the middle of the frame and other members of the crew around him. Two actors are sitting at a table in front of the crew. The director lifts a megaphone and says: “Action!” the focus shifts in the foreground where we see a table with several pieces of equipment, sound recorders, microphones, a laptop and a film roll. The woman’s hand enters the frame and takes the film roll.

SCENE TEN

INT. Writer’s Flat

Medium Long Shot of the writer’s chair and the desk. He enters the frame and sits down. In the same moment hears a knock on the door and he turns around

Medium shot. Profile of the writer that opens the door and looks down in front of the door.
Full shot from outside the door. The writer is approaching the blue suitcase. He seems puzzled about that appearance. He bows and opens the suitcase.
Close-up. He is shocked by what he sees inside.
Medium shot. He rapidly closes the suitcase as if something important could come out and fade away. Enters the apartment and closes the door.
Medium shot. The writer is in front of the bath tub with the suitcase in his hand. He looks astonished. The steam of the hot water is rising in front of him. He empties it into the tub. A cloud of multi-coloured small pieces of paper is coming out of the bag and spreads into the water and  into the entire frame.
Full shot. The writer is on the top on the right side of the bath tub. He lets himself go and dives into the water. Cut to
A scene from the movie L’Atalante  by Jean Vigo (1934), where the skipper is under the water. He is swimming among the multi-coloured pieces of paper.
Full shot of a cloud full of the papers moving under the water.
Fade to a cloud of leaves that are dancing under the blowing of the wind.
Fade to blured lights of traffic moving very fast.
Fade to small pieces of cut vegetables that are moving in a boiling soup.

Close-up. The hand of the writer is writing the last words of his novel on the pages of his notebook.
Full shot. He is sitting and writing in the bath tub.
Close-up. The hand finishes writing the last sentence, goes a bit down on the page and writes “The End”. The note book is being closed and the frame darkened.

Fade to black.
