My Scene Idea

Who Owns What? Government Scene.

The scene starts inside of a woman’s flat. This London estate is being demolished and replaced with luxury flats as the council feels the current fixtures bring down the value of the area. All residents are being evicted however they are not being rehoused back into the area.

Loud Vigorous Banging on a door.
The first shot is a close up of a letter held by the woman. Along with the banging on the door which seems to be getting louder and more aggressive, we can now hear the woman crying. The next shot shows the distressed woman sitting behind her front door, as the camera pans round towards the letter the woman is becoming more and more stressed. A close up shot of the words Final Eviction Notice are shown allowing the audience to find out why she's upset and who could possibly be banging the door. A wide angled shot is then taken showing the woman sitting in her hallway. As the camera travels into the living room the viewer gets a chance to see the woman’s possessions and it is clear the woman isn't ready to leave yet. As this is happening a mans voice from outside shouts “ Miss Ryan open up”, in which she screams back “ This is my home!”. The camera travels to the kitchen window where they can see the bailiffs banging on the door. Suddenly the man with the briefcase runs by.

The camera suddenly zooms into the wall and back out revealing the next door neighbours living room. The banging continues but is slightly different indicated it is now coming from this person's door. In this flat lives an elderly person who is also not ready to leave his home as he has lived there for many years. The camera pans over the room showing all his old possessions including photographs and ornaments. As the banging increases, the old man turns up the music on his record player and stares sadly at an old photograph of himself in the house. The next shot is taken from outside the flats as the man with the briefcase runs past he accidentally runs into the bailiffs knocking papers out of his hands for future demolishment and reconstruction of the estate they live on.
